My Loves

Hi there.  I decided that I wanted to make a really simple yet informative post.

And it’s not about me – it’s all about my girls.

I love them with all my heart, and I want no harm to come to them.  Few are allowed to be around them, and even fewer are allowed to be in the same room as them (don’t even think about touching, really!)  And they’re my girls.  I love the tingling feeling I get every time I feel their long, slender, smooth necks.  And I owe it to them to use my fingers to make them sing, cry, and sometimes scream every note I can get out of them.

This is my first love who will always hold a place in my heart – Amelia.  Now, I will admit that I don’t play her as often as I should, but that’s because she’s my “Ol’ Betsy” – meaning she sits in a place of honor with no expectations of being used because she’s just been outclasses in this time and age, yet still deserves respect.  I love her, dearly, but she’s just a little too old to do what I need to do.

This is my next love. with her jewelry (aka, the strap).  Sadly, though she is like aa sword without a name – she has no name.  I know her personality – calm, relaxed, and very difficult if you aren’t giving her your full attention – but I just can’t find the right one.  I still love her, but until I know who she actually is and what I can call her, we just can’t be in as sync as we need to be to thrive.

And this is the one who has taken my heart by storm – Sheela.  She’s everything I could ever want – beautiful, yet hot.  Pristine, yet dirty.  And awesome, yet even more awesome.  It’s amazing.  I do my damndest to play her every single day, but it gets difficult.  that’s why I put her right across from my bed, so I feel terrible every time I see her and her sad, depressed face.  I love her, and nothing could ever separate us.  Also, her bling is friggin’ gorgeous!

Whoo.  That actually took a lot out of me.  I normally don’t talk about my girls, but I decided that I’m done with that secret.  Especially about Sheela.  Most people don’t even know she exists.

So keep it all a secret, or else I’ll hunt you down and … do… something… nasty… to your face or… something…  Nevermind.

PS – done posting for a little while.  I feel like I’m kinda hoggin’ the bloggin’, and that’s not nice.

Senior year – oh boy, here we go.

Hello blog readers! Before I start on my philosophical journey about senior year and all its wonders thus far, I think it only fair to introduce myself. Just so you know what you are getting into. Buckle your seat-belts kids!

Some Anna info:

Year: Senior
School: Billings West
Hobbies/Interests: Music [singing, piano, guitar, flute, harmonica, composition], Art [drawing, sketching, painting, pastels, etc.], Photography, Writing [duh…], Jewelry making, Reading, and going outside to do random crazy things. Like camping and hiking haha.
Activities: Speech and Debate, Worship team at Faith Chapel, co-president of the West High Meistersingers with Tasha Zoani, perhaps some intramural sports in the future? When they come along. Hopefully participating in plays and musical, and adding a dash of outside lessons and adventures. Possibly joining Ecology club too…
Current Job: City Brew Coffee on King avenue and 24th St. W

Alright then, enough about Anna, let’s move on to the topic I have in mind: senior year. It is the year that everyone looks forward to. The year that you get to be the top dog in high school. The year that signifies the end of your high school career. Some rejoice, others groan.

This year is supposed to be the year that we make yet another huge choice in our lives: Where will we go next? Is it to college? If so, which one? What will you major in? If not, what do you plan on doing instead? Where will you live? What job will you get? So many decisions thrust upon such young individuals. It is rather intimidating if you think about it. But it can also be liberating. You get more responsibility, but you also get more freedom. You get to pay your own rent and make your own food, but you also get to decide where to go, when to go, and what you want to do.  Senior year is supposed to prepare all of us wayward teens for this reality.

My hope for this coming year is that I and all of the seniors attending high school in Billings, MT come out of this year with the confidence that they can proceed to the next step, whatever it may be. Perhaps this hope and dream will become a reality, perhaps not. Either way, I plan to make this year count. I don’t want to be stuck doing the same old thing that I did last year. I want this year to be vibrant, exciting, fun-filled, and a sprinkled with a little adventure. I have words of encouragement for all of you who will graduate and throw your hat this spring of 2011:

Do not let this year be just any other year. Make this year YOUR year. Have fun, work hard, and don’t forget to make your life count. Though we are young, we can make movements to change the world we live in. We just have to believe it! (:

Yours truly,
Anna Elizabeth

P.S. Sorry it is so short. I promise I will write more and in better detail with better organization in the future…. d:

My Day: A Vlog

If you didn’t know already, the twentyeleven project has it’s own official YouTube channel. We’ve had a channel for a few weeks now, but the first video was posted on it today, by me. This video is basically a short vide0-log (vlog) about my third day as a Senior. It’s on the long-ish side as far as YouTube videos go, and I wouldn’t exactly call it my best work, but it’s something to watch if you’re extremely bored and need to kill ten minutes.

I made the video with my phone, a Palm Pre Plus. The video quality is passable, but definitely not spectacular. My Kodak z8612IS takes better video, but it’s kind of big and not exactly pocket-friendly. (I’m probably going to use it to make an intro video for the channel in a few days, so you can compare the video-quality then.) I’m hoping to buy a Flip UltraHD video camera and Sony Vegas in a few weeks with some birthday cash, so I can improve the video quality and video editing.

What about podcasts? Well, folks, the cash-flow around OP13 studios is a bit on the slim-side at the moment, so podcasts won’t appear until I receive my next paycheck on September 10th. I still have my trusty old Snowball Mic though, so I may bust out a few podcasts on my personal blog* if I feel so inclined.

So that’s it. Remember to stay tuned and check back for fresh posts daily.

* My personal blog technically ended on August 25th, the last day of Summer vacation. However, I left a big empty space in posts where my summer vacation took place, so I will be updating that blog a bit with those older posts. I may randomly post something on there in the future, but don’t expect daily posts, or even somewhat regular posts.
